Honoring the Life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The Memphis Alumni Chapter of LeMoyne-Owen College Alumni Association will host the 28th Annual Prayer Breakfast on Jan. 21 @ 8:00 a.m. The location is the University of Memphis - Holiday Inn on Central Avenue.

 

The keynote speaker is Rev. Dr. Frank E. Ray, Sr, senior pastor of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church.

 

The Prayer Breakfast honors the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the sacrifices he made for equality and justice during the civil rights movement.

 

Kristen Hurd serves as the MLK chairperson and tickets can be purchased via PayPal @ localummemphis@gmail.com.   Tickets are $50.00 and tables are $500.00.

 

A percentage of the proceeds is donated to LeMoyne-Owen College for scholarships to students.
